Termites do more damage in the United States each year than fires and storms combined.
They are a threat to property owners across 70 percent of the world and in every part of the United States with the exception of Alaska. Infrared cameras are considered one of the most advanced and accurate tools known for determining and documenting subterranean termite damage and moisture damage in buildings. Results are instant and the thermal images are easy to understand and can serve as irrefutable proof in lawsuits.
Pest and termite practices recommended by the National Pest Control Association are called “Integrated Pest Management” or IPM. The concept is simple: to find the nest and eliminate it. However, this is easer said that done. One of the most effective tools to a pest professional is infrared (IR) imaging.
Certified IR imaging has enhanced the standard of IPM in several dramatic ways:
Fast – Certified Infrared inspections yield immediate information
Accurate – Able to pinpoint the location of hard to find problems, like above-ground subterranean termite nests
Reliable – Provides data that can help determine live infestations and the extent of damage
Convenient = It takes less inspection time, also our inspections are safe & non-destructive
Affordable – Our pest inspection cost just a fraction of what you have currently invested in termite or pest treatment – not to mention the existing damage
Our inspection has the ability to reveal potential pest invasions, moisture intrusion that can lead to a host of problems. A Certified Infrared Thermography Report can provide additional value to keep your home sound and always ready for whatever you choose do now or in the future. Let at us at Bruni Infrared help you with a Certified Pest Thermographer that will navigate through these dangerous waters by providing you and your Pest Company with valuable data to correct your live infestation as well as keep them from damaging re-infestations.

Revolutionary Building Envelope Inspections
WHAT DOES A BUILDING ENVELOPE INSPECTION INCLUDE? – A Building Envelope inspection normally includes 3 target areas. First, an assessment of the condition of the roof for moisture. Second, the condition of the exterior stucco for de-lamination and lastly an exterior window inspection for failing components that could lead to leaks.
HOW CAN WE SAVE YOU MONEY? – We offer three levels of inspection that help eliminate the need for expensive swing stage scaffolding for inspecting windows and stucco on commercial buildings. Our Bronze level thermal inspection, which is a basic aerial thermal video inspection and it’s report will denote suspect problem areas where hidden moisture may be present. The Silver level inspection is a more in-depth video inspection with higher resolution side-to-side infrared thermogram and magnified color images of suspect problem areas. The Gold level includes everything in the previous levels, PLUS interior inspection to the suspect areas or units to quantify moisture.

Infrared Energy Scan
Infrared Energy Scan is a proven diagnostic technique recommended by the US Department of Energy for identifying areas of heat loss. Considering your heating and cooling load can be up to 50% of your actual energy bill, a thermal scan of your home can identify where those wasted dollars are going-no matter what type of heating or cooling system you have.
Thermal infrared imaging has become a valuable tool in performing infrared energy audits in residential and commercial applications. The infrared camera has the ability to display heat energy as a visual image. This gives you a new “picture” of your energy loss. A $350 to $500 thermal audit can not only discover where energy is wasted, but also pinpoint mold as well as termite or water damage behind the walls. Our inspections provide low-cost, high-value Certified infrared Energy Surveys. Over time these inspections can save you a lot of money off your energy bills.

Home and Building Inspections
Infrared imaging provides important information relating to otherwise inaccessible areas of a residential or commercial building. The infrared camera detects large or extremely small but crucial differences in surface temperature from one area of a house to another. These temperature variations show up on the camera’s view screen as “cold” or “hot” spots, which reveal hidden problems that often cannot be detected in the course of a traditional visual inspection. We visually inspect the suspect area, next we check with a moisture meter and then a motion detector. After which if we have need to go further we use a fiber optic scope into the areas and take photos inside hidden areas.
These problems may include:
Faulty wiring, Breakers and Fuses – Infrared instantly shows electrical problems saving time
Hidden Moisture Intrusion– Detect the origin of otherwise hidden water leaks
Pipe and Duct Work Leaks – Infrared can help locate the source of air, suction and blockages
Roof and Ceiling Leaks – save time on commercial and residential jobs
Forensic Pest IR Thermography to use for cost recovery – proof for your clients
Combined with traditional home inspection techniques, the infrared inspection method reveals substantially more of the house than can be perceived by the naked eye and conventional inspection tools. Many things can’t be seen with only a flashlight.

Preventative/predictive maintenance (PPM) programs are the best way to manage large electrical systems.
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70B §11.17.5 suggests that every commercial and industrial building in the United States should have an IR survey at least once a year. Increasingly, insurance companies are requiring IR surveys of electrical and mechanical systems for their insured. Some companies may even offer discounts if you do.
Widely used application of infrared thermography is most popular. No other commercial application has achieved the level of interest than that of electrical infrared thermography. IR and Electric Inspections go together like milk and cookies.
